Dr. Bruce Hill
Dr. Bruce C. Hill
Veterinarian / Practice Owner / Licensed in MA and RI. Holds a USDA accreditation and is an active member of the MVMA, RIVMA, and the AVMA

Dr. Hill, while attending The University of Rhode Island started with DeWitt Animal Hospital working for Dr. James DeWitt, who established the hospital in 1947. Dr. Hill worked as an associate veterinarian in mixed practices from 1980 through 1985, before landing at DeWitt Animal Hospital as an associate veterinarian in 1985. Dr. Hill tells us that while he enjoyed traveling to the local farms, and helping the great, hardworking farmers, he has not missed the late-night, middle-of-winter calls from clients. He has spent his career striving to be the best generalist practitioner he can be while contributing to the good reputation and success of the practice as well as meeting the challenges of keeping up with medical advances and a changing profession. Dr. Hill greatly values the long-term relationships and trusts many clients have honored him with.

Dr. Hill is now practicing part time, seeing patients one day a week and performing surgeries and procedures on a second day of the week. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and family (including a grandson and three granddaughters), traveling, and when the weather is good, getting out on my HARLEY! Dr. Hill’s oldest son, Craig and daughter, Sarah, graduated from veterinary school in the spring of 2013. Craig joined the DeWitt Animal Hospital team after earning his DVM degree. Sarah completed a one-year internship before joining The DeWitt Animal hospital team in July of 2014.
